Nicholas P. Foschi was born in Paterson, New Jersey and graduated from Montclair State University with 2 Masters degrees.  He was a teacher for many years in New Jersey and relocated to California to pursue his art.   He began doing art shows with glass designs which developed into painting.

The paintings are a combination of acrylic, charcoal, acrylics, pastels, paper and other various mediums to create a vision of depth.   He is intrigued by texture, color and the juxtaposition of various shapes.

Nicholas uses broad paint strokes with a combination of unusual techniques to create a flow of energy on the canvas.  The ultimate goal is to transport the view into a land of calm and intrigue.  

He accomplishes this by putting many thin layers of texture, glazes and paint on canvas.
